These days, the busy humdrum of professional lives has become so crammed that one doesn’t even get time to check mails leave alone an outing with the family. I always used to wonder how to accommodate spending time with my family, catching up with friends, and making that proposal all at the same time!

Once when my office planned a day out, I was quite reluctant to be part of it as I just wanted to curl up in the bed. As an obligation, I made it to the outing and this was exactly what I needed.

They took me to a place in Shankarpalli, Hyderabad called PalmExotica. I thought it would be like any other resort with stucco houses and bad plumbing. That surprisingly was not the case.

The drive to Shankarpalli was enjoyable, and the amenities there were like that of a star hotel. There was this sprawling golf course, an international standard cricket stadium, and a luxury spa, which I could surprise my wife with!

I thoroughly enjoyed the 9-hole golf park experience, and all that idea of curling up in the bed was quickly forgotten! Then, as hunger pangs caught up, I was warming for a great lunch. There was yet another surprise lurking around the corner. The ambience, the luxury, and the aroma were instantly pleasing. The food was heavenly.

I gladly dug into Indian, Italian, and continental delicacies. They just melted in my mouth. All I needed was a great siesta now!  And, I couldn’t have asked for more. I mean after a game of golf and a delightful lunch, who wouldn’t want a glorious siesta? Then again, I was shown into a room that made me remember my honeymoon suite.

The room was ostentatiously furnished, the air conditioning perfect, and the bed just the way I wanted. It was then that I decided that I am going to bring my family for an outing here.

 And, at the same moment, I changed my preconceived notions about resorts in Hyderabad for family outing. Now, I am all for them. The very next week I surprised my family with this proposal.
